Mentoring for Life
Bringing together our community to start a conversation exploring how Coweta County can become a nurturing community in Georgia as part of the Georgia State of Hope Initiative. The initiative was designed by Georgia State University Andrew Young School of Social Work, Division of Family and Children’s Services, and Georgia Family Connection; Family Patterns Matter is a state of hope site in Coweta County.
We have a core group that has come together to define and design the solutions to address and build the safety nets that will prevent conditions that attribute to disparities in education, threaten a families stability and allow for child abuse and neglect. Through this initiative of close collaboration, we will achieve our vision. As a result, children are safer, families are stronger and communities are more supportive places for all citizens to thrive.
Our goal is families will have the tools to work with their children to meet their educational needs and the resources to provide a stable home in which their children can thrive.
Our vision is to have mentors from all walks of life who will instill trust and with dedication to support our children and youth with a positive influence. To be part of the mentoring program email familypatternsmatter@gmail.com
